The Polychaetan fauna in the Gibraltar Strait. V-Communities established in softsubstrata.- A study of some intertidal zone beaches and two infralittoral prairies has been carried in Strait of Gibraltar. Three different polychaete communities are characterized: 1) The middle sand community, abounding in organogen elements with S. typica; 2) The middle sand community near the influence rocky formations; 3) The muddy sand community in sheltered areas. Environmental factors such as granulometry, organic matter and carbonates, and faunal composition on these communities are explained.
