Abstract

«El problema de Dios naturalmente», fue la respuesta de Husserl a Roman Ingarden acerca de cuál era el primer problema de la filosofía. La contestación es bien sorprendente si se consideran las escasas referencias que la obra que Husserl publicó en vida, tan preocupada por el método y justo orden de la investigación filosófica, dedica al supuesto primer problema. Incluso los cursos de lecciones que el fundador de la fenomenología tituló Filosofía primera se apartan de sus ilustres predecesores, y ni encierran un «saber de lo divino» ni plantean pruebas apodícticas de la trascendencia suprema. Más bien al contrario: de acuerdo con dichas lecciones, el orden aristotélico del saber suponía un rebajamiento del ideal platónico de teoría, y la Tercera Meditación de prima philosophia una pérdida del radicalismo filosófico a que apuntaban las dos primeras. Lo que pueda tener de sorprendente la respuesta personal de Husserl se ha atenuado, sin embargo, conforme han salido a la luz textos de trabajo, sobre todo de los años treinta, que se ocupan del tema de Dios en estrecha relación con los planteamientos centrales y los problemas últimos de la fenomenología trascendental. Mi trabajo ofrece fragmentos de alguno de estos escritos, así como una toma de postura, por fuerza provisional, acerca de si la última filosofía estrictamente trascendental de la historia del pensamiento occidental conduce al reconocimiento de la existencia del Ser Supremo, ono. Pero es tan íntima la conexión del pensamiento teológico de Husserl con el cuerpo teórico de la fenomenología trascendental que se hará imprescindible recordar a cada paso partes enteras de la filosofía primera fenomenológica.
