Situando el vestido como práctica corporal en el centro de la reflexión, el artículo efectúa un recorrido etnográfico por el proceso de creación de un vestido nacional de Guinea Ecuatorial. Se presentará la importancia de la ecuación personal de sus impulsores, los motivos de su fracaso y las recientes tentativas de (re)producción de discursos identitarios en los actuales fashion shows de Malabo. De este modo, se pretende demostrar el potencial del vestido como herramienta de control social, resistencia y (re)creación identitaria.
