Paisajes neolíticos del noroeste de Marruecos: análisis arqueopalinológico de la Cueva de Boussaria

Abstract

El análisis palinológico de la Cueva de Boussaria (NW Marruecos) ha permitido reconstruir la vegetación de esta zona de la Península Tingitana a lo largo de las distintas fases del Neolítico documentadas. El paisaje predominante corresponde a la típica maquía termomediterránea, aunque se aprecia una evolución desde condiciones subhúmedas en el Neolítico inicial con predominancia del boj, a otras más xéricas a posteriori con mayor abundancia de lentisco. El impacto antrópico es escaso en los primeros instantes, siendo más evidente en el Neolítico medio‑reciente. El registro paleoambiental confirma el posible uso de la cueva como redil así como cierto tipo de presión pastoral. Se documenta polen de haba (Vicia faba) en los inicios del Neolítico.
