Abstract

En el presente trabajo se ha estudiado la efectividad de altos niveles de CO2 (20% CO2 durante 3 días) sobre la infección causada por B. cinerea y la calidad de uvas de mesa (Vitis vinifera cv. ‘Cardinal’) durante su conservación a 0ºC. De los diferentes mecanismos moleculares activados por el pre-tratamiento gaseoso, se ha llevado a cabo el estudio de la expresión de genes que codifican para enzimas claves del metabolismo de los fenilpropanoides tales como la L-fenilalanina amonio-liasa (PAL), estilbeno sintasa (STS) y chalcona sintasa (CHS). Nuestros resultados indican que el pre-tratamiento mejoró la apariencia del racimo, mantuvo la calidad de la baya y controló eficazmente la infección fúngica. Asimismo, el patrón de expresión de la PAL, STS y CHS en las uvas tratadas con CO2 fue consistente con la reducción del deterioro natural de los frutos producido durante su conservación a 0ºC.
