Phaseolin, as reserve protein of seed, It is important to know domestication patterns of common bean. lt was studied 132 varieties from Spain by lD-SDS-PAGE to observe different patterns of phaseolin. Therefore, it was observed variation in all varieties, although, the most frecuent types were T or H, which are from the Andean center. So, the seeds which were spreaded in Spain belonged to this domestication center. Moreover, these seeds have a big size to agree with preferences in the studied zones. The knowledge about the origin center of the studied varieties is interesting to establish a crossing programs which are important in plant breeding.
