[ES] Después de la publicación del artículo de BEDRY & al. (2001) sobre la posible toxicidad de Tricholoma equestre como agente causal de rabdomiolisis, se ha originado una corriente de miedo y temor en Europa sobre el peligro que pueda entrañar el consumo de este hongo. El presente articulo da nuevos datos sobre la realidad de los hechos acontecidos y a través de una encuesta realizada en la Sociedad Micológica de Madrid.
[EN]After the pub1icacion by BEDRY & al. (2001) of an article on the possible toxicity of Tricholoma equestre as the causal agent of rhabdomyolysis, a great fear has been produced around this fungus in Europe. The present article gives sorne new information on the matter, trying to establish a better understanding on this unusual and risky problem, through an inquiry at the Madrid Mycological Society.
