Abstract

Al igual que cualquier material u objeto en nuestro planeta, los monumentos y sus materiales están expuestos a una variedad de factores ambientales físicos y químicos, pero también biológicos. Entre estos últimos, son especialmente relevantes los microorganismos. Los microorganismos son tan abundantes y tienen una capacidad de dispersión tan elevada que son capaces de alcanzar cualquier superficie en cualquier punto de la Tierra.
