El fiqh o jurisprudencia islámica es la ciencia que estudia las reglas a las que está sujeta la derivación de normas legales a partir de las fuentes de la ley sagrada (¸sarıfia). Estas fuentes son el Corán, la tradición profética, el consenso de los jurisconsultos y la analogía. Esta última más que una fuente propiamente dicha es un método de obtención de normas legales para casos nuevos mediante la búsqueda de precedentes análogos en las tres fuentes mencionadas anteriormente.
