Abstract

[EN]The importance of the spatial variability of the hydrophysical characteristics of the soil in the moisture regime is recorded in an experimentation carried out in five sites in semiarid climate with dryland wheat cultivation. Samples of the differents horizons are grouped in five textural-types in each one site, from sandy until clayey soils; sandy horizons are very frequents in the arable layers, and the clayey horizons, in the deeper layers. From the analysis of the soils could be said that the water retention and the disposition of the horizons, in the de profil. - both related with water conservation - are higly variables, and that these are determining the soil moisture regime. The significance of the hydrophysical characteristics of each soil, given to the scarce variability of the rainfall regime in the zone, is demostrated since the bulk spatial variability of the water content extends with the advance of the vegetative cycle.
