Abstract

Objetivos: 1) Determinar las concentraciones de clorofilas a, b y total, y los carotenoides totales, en diferentes ciclos de selección de las poblaciones “per se” (precoces y tardías), cultivados con riego normal y riego reducido. 2) Determinar las concentraciones de clorofilas a, b y total y carotenoides totales, en los cruzamientos de los diferentes ciclos de selección con una línea pura probadora, cultivados con ambas condiciones de riego.

Se han evaluado los contenidos de clorofila y carotenoides totales en hojas de plantas de maíz, de diferentes ciclos de selección masal divergente para el carácter floración, en la población EZS9 (Álvarez et al., 2002), y se han cultivado en campo con reducción del número de riegos.
