[EN] Quantitative determinations of oligosaccharide in the mussel (Mytilus edulis) for a complete annual cycle were made, and it was found the maximum from October 1.08%, and the minimum for January 0.11% referred to the fresh edible part. The annual mean value was 0.44% that suppose the 13.6% of the carbohydrates in the whole. The glycogen seasonal variation is also studied and it is stablished an approximate relation between glycogen and weights of the comestible part of the mussel both fresh and dried
