[EN] In this present paper some data on age and growth of Spanish Nortwestern Mediterranean hake are given. The main conclusion the author reaches in that the hake in this area has a higher growth rate than in Castellón de la Plana (Figueras, 1955) and the North Africa Mediterranean coasts (Belloc, 1929). Its growth rate is comparable to that of the Atlantic hake. The study on age, growth in length and in weigth is made. From three years old the weigth of the hake in this area increases greatly.
