[EN] In the present paper, the age and growth of cod in the Northwest atlantic Fisheries catch by the Spanish trawlers "Alisio" and "Vendaval" during the year 1960 (february to may and august to december) are studied by means of their otoliths. It is found that an increasing of growth rate occurs in some of the subdivisions in the Convention area, specially in the Northern ones (1 B and 1 D). The annual classes base of the fishery for the year 1961 will be probable the 1955, and the 1957 for the subarea 1, and the 1956 for the subareas 2 and 4.
