[EN] A description of the various methods for fractioning the gas from coke ovens - and subsequent attainment of hydrogen from that-is made in the paper; afterwords dealing with the liquation process, either with free expansion or with external work, that is to say, Liride and Claude processes respectively; as well as the cracking process. An extract on the characteristics and conditions of running is also given. From the point of view of its application to this fractioning, the characteristics of the gas from coke ovens are analyzed; pointing out the disadvantages caused for the presence of its different elements. In the same way, the initial gas preparation is examined. At last, the author discusses about the methods to check the attained hydrogen, making a comparison between liquation and cracking processes.
