[ES] Las alteraciones monetarias en la Edad Moderna desencadenaron importantes vendavales políticos que en ocasiones obligaron a los gobiernos a movilizarse para convencer a los vasallos de la bondad de tales medidas. Un caso de estos, aunque poco conocido, tuvo lugar en Castilla en 1660, cuando la corona intentó legitimar su política monetaria reflejándola en un auto sacramental donde los avatares de la Monarquía Hispánica se ligaban a los de la moneda castellana. Este artículo trata del modo en el que el simbolismo escénico propio de este género teatral pudo contribuir a semejantes objetivos políticos durante la grave crisis económica y monetaria de mediados del XVII.
[EN] The monetary changes in the Early Modern broke out important political storms thai in some occasions obligated to the governments to mobilize for convincing its vassals of the goodness of such measures. An example of this, but not well known, took place in Castile in 1660, when the crown tried to legitimate its monetary political reflecting it in an auto sacramental where the Spanish Monarchy up and downs were linking to the castilian money. This article try to clarify how this scenic performance helped to obtain this political objectives during the grave economical and monetary crisis of half XVII century.
