The aim of this paper is to define and evaluate Spanish research on the environment and indigenous peoples of Latin America : dissertations, conference proceedings and journals included in the TESEO and ISOC databases between 1975 and 1993. Results are analysed under the following headings : production by subject and geographic area, and productivity per year. Spanish journals dealing with Latin America are also evaluated.
