Abstract

[ES] Explicación sobre los orígenes históricos de la Inquisición española durante el reinado de los Reyes Católicos. Incluye una breve exposición sobre los antecedentes medievales, la evolución del problema religioso con las minorías (judíos y conversos, musulmanes), la aparición del tribunal a finales del siglo XV, el sistema procesal y la burocracia, la extensión de la Inquisición a los reinos de la corona de Aragón y las consecuencias sociales del nuevo sistema, especialmente en relación con la nobleza y la cuestión de la limpieza de sangre.

[FR] Explication des origines historiques de l’Inquisition Espagnole pendant le royaume des Rois Catholiques. L’article inclus une brève exposition des débats historiographiques actuels, les antécédants médievales, l’évolution du problème religieux avec les minorités (juifs, convertis, musulmans) pendant le Moyen Âge, l’apparition du Tribunal Inquisitorial à la fin du XVe siècle, le système judiciaire et la bureaucratie, l’extension de l’Inquisition aux royaumes de la couronne d’Aragon et les conséquences du nouveau système de trinunaux.

[EN] Explanation of the historical origins of the Spanish Inquisition during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs. It includes a brief exposition of the contemporary historiographic opinions, the medieval background, the evolution of the religious problem with minorities (jews, converts, muslims) during the last Middle Ages, the appearence of the Inquisition Court at the end of the 15th century, the legal system and burocracy, its expansion to the realms of Crown of Aragon and, finally, the consequences of the new courts system.

[EU] Errege Katolikoen agintaritzapean Espainiako Inkisizioak izan zituen jatorri historikoei buruzko azalpena. Bertan, azalpen labur bat ematen da zenbait gairi buruz: Erdi Aroko aurrekariak, gutxiengoekin (juduak eta kristautuak, musulmanak) zegoen arazo erlijiosoaren bilakaera, XV. Mendearen amaieran epaimahaia agertzea, sistema prozesala eta burokrazia, Inkisizioa Aragoiko koroaren erresumetara hedatzea eta sistema berriaren ondorioak gizartean (batez ere, nobleziaren eta odol-garbiketaren gaietan).
