Abstract

[EN]Cartographic and typological studies of the soils of the Trabazos municipy (Zamora) reveals that the soil units occurring most frequently are eutric and distric fluvisols, lithosols, eutric, distric and humic cambisols and orthic and gleyic acrisols. These soils, developed from ordovicia slates; are acidic in nature poor in bases and phosphorus contents. Soil use is the major factor affecting their evolution. The C/N ratio of soils under coniferous and ericaceous vegetation range from 25 to 30 while that of grassland and cultivated soils is less than 12.
