Abstract

[EN] Main factors determining the sound insulation improvement of lightweight linings are analysed under the basis of up-dated theoretical models of sound insulation of double leaf walls. The influence of these factors on numerical curves ΔR(f), is compared to experimental results of actual lightweight linings concluding on the convenience of further investigations. Some changes on Sharp’s model for zero compliance fixations are proposed. The influence of reference curve in computing global quantities (f.e. ΔRA) is analysed, as well as its influence in design projects emphasizing the existence of smart spectra ΔR(f) to obtain a given value ΔRA, as a function of the reference curve and the incident noise spectrum.
