Abstract

[EN]Simulation of irrigation systems, as a specific dimension of model building theory, becomes nowdays a meaningful instrument for the analysis and organization of water resources in agriculture. Plant-water relationships evolve in a multidimensional framework that modern scientists are able to represent through an increasing number of selected variables. Modern computers allow to go deeper and farther on quantitative expression of those interactive factors. Model by Anderson and Maass exemplifies this kind of simulation in an institutional outlook, and since they apply it to the Huertas of Valencia, Murcia-Orihuela, and Alicante, it is of an outstanding interest for the Spanish researcher on irrigation
