Abstract

[EN]Bearing in mind the great number of studies directed towards what is known as the physical or territorial planification of mountain areas, we have preferentially chosen a zone of low relief and of limited area located in the territory appearing on sheet nº 450 (scale 1:50:000) of the I.G.C., mainly destined for agro/silvo/pastoral purposes. A study is made of the climate, lithology, geomorphology soils and use, showing the limitations of resources and the consequences of past and present use compared with the possible ordering of future use; it should be taken into account that not only should Man be considered in studies of natural systems, of which the inexorably forms part, but that he is also the element of greatest consequence. This is undeniable, particularly so in countries where the phenomenon of the succession of civilizations, or their superimposition, such as in the Mediterranean area, has influenced the countryside and its resources to a great extent. Detection and characterization are carried out of the homogeneous territorial units in se, determined by the joint action of the factors studied.
