Abstract

Esta ponencia se aproxima a la realidad de los agentes o corresponsales extranjeros no combatientes (voluntarios humanitarios, corresponsales de guerra y viajeros) que testimoniaron la acción humanitaria durante la Segunda Guerra Carlista (1872-1876). La investigación se centra en el imaginario humanitario presente en las narrativas de estos observadores externos al conflicto y que se recogen en relatos de prensa tanto general como de carácter humanitario, memorias autobiográficas y correspondencia.
