El Hoyo de la Campana. Un enclave idóneo para la valorización del patrimonio minero aurífero de Granada

Abstract

[ES] La existencia de yacimientos de oro en "(...) una cordillera montañosa que pertenece a Bastetania (...)", es decir, Sierra Nevada y la Sierra de Baza-Los Filabres, ya fue mencionada a finales del siglo I a.C. por Estrabón (Str. III, 4, 2). En la provincia de Granada, varios son los lugares en los que por ahora están plenamente atestiguadas labores mineras antiguas. De entre ellos destaca por su singularidad la explotación aurífera del Hoyo de la Campana, situada en la ladera sur del Cerro del Sol, en las inmediaciones de Granada y de la Alhambra. Este enclave tuvo además intentos de explotación industrial en el último cuarto del siglo XIX, que concluyeron en un sonado fracaso. Los últimos estudios realizados sobre el laboreo del Hoyo de la Campana en época romana han permitido dar los primeros pasos en favor de su protección y conservación. Pero además, dicho paraje resultaría idóneo para establecer un Centro de Interpretación de la minería aurífera de Granada; en él están representadas todas las estructuras mineras que definen a una explotación romana sobre yacimientos auríferos secundarios, se pueden establecer itinerarios que lo hagan visitable y se encuentra próximo a la capital granadina. Además conserva edificios e infraestructuras decimonónicas pertenecientes a las últimas tentativas de explotación.

[FR] L'existence de gisements d'or dans "(...) une chaîne montagneuse de la Bastetanie (...)", c'est à dire, Sierra Nevada et la Sierra de Baza-Los Filabres, était déjà mentionnée à partir de la fin du 1er siècle av. J.C. par le géographe grec Strabon (Str. III, 4, 2). Dans la province de Grenade, nombreux sont les lieux attestés comme étant d'anciennes mines. L'exploitation surifère de L'Hoyo de la Campana située sur le versant sud du Cerro del Sol dans les environs de Grenade et de l'Alhambra, est la plus importante d'entre-elles. De plus, à la fin du XIXème siècle, on fit des tentatives d'exploitation industrielle qui se conclurent par un échec cuisant. Les dernières études réalisées sur les chantiers du Cerro del Sol ont permis d'avancer dans les démarches de protection et conservation. De plus, cette zone serait l'endroit idéal pour l'établissement d'un Centre d'Interprétation des mines d'or de Grenade. Ce lieu, situé à proximité de la capitale grenadine, regroupe toutes les structures minières propres d'une exploitation romaine sur des alluvions aurifères, et on pourrait établir des parcours didactiques. De plus, il reste des bâtiments et infrastructures des dernières tentatives d'exploitation.
