[EN]: The mineral composition of commercial and non-commercial feeding-stuffs used for bullfight cattle in Western Andalusia has been studied. Commercial feeding-stuffs have high levels of N, P, Ca, Mg, K, Na, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu and sometimes the contents in N t P, Ca and Cu are in excess of bullfight cattle requeriments. Fisiological ratias Ca/P, K/Na, and K/(Ca + Mg) are reasonably equilibrated. On the contrary, non-commercial feeding-stuffs are usually deficient in Ca, Na, Zn and Cu and sometimes P, Mg, Fe and Mn. Their ratios K/Na and Ca/P are usually unbalanced. These findings suggest that the present use of mineral amendments by stock breeders should be reconsidered.
