[EN]The Catastro of Ensenada is one of the main sources through which it is possible to get to know the 18th century society. By means of processing the mentioned documentation, we intend to establish how the family and domestic environment of notaries and other officials of the notarial attestation was. For this reason, we take as a temporary framework an eminent rural territory, La Mancha, as well as the most representative locations in the military order dominions in particular. The reconstruction of these civil servants’ family group and home will lead us to better know their role in the society of La Mancha.
