Optimización del contraste entre fases por ataque químico en aceros con microestructuras duales ferrita-martensita

Abstract

En aceros duales con microestructuras ferrítico-martensíticas, las propiedades mecánicas finales son muy sensibles a la relación entre la fracción de volumen de ambas fases. Para poder determinar las fracciones de volumen de forma fehaciente, es muy importante disponer de técnicas metalográficas que permitan revelar y conseguir un buen contraste entre ambas fases. En este trabajo se ha estudiado un acero bajo en carbono con una microestructura inicial ferrítico-perlítica. Ajustes en el proceso de reaustenización han permitido obtener microestructuras finales con distinta fracción de volumen y distribución de martensita y perlita en la matriz ferrítica, dependiendo de la temperatura de reaustenización. Aquí se comparan los resultados obtenidos utilizando diferentes soluciones químicas. Se concluye que, aunque unas soluciones químicas son más efectivas en conseguir un buen contraste entre las fases que otros, no existe una única solución fidedigna que permita obtener un buen contraste entre fases en todas las microestructuras estudiadas.
