[EN]: The callus tissues formation in cuttings of manzanillo and gordal olive varieties, presents an identical but not contemporaneous process. It begins with a growth of less differentiated cells of cortical and phloematic parenchimae and it affects the remain cortical zones aftenwards. This cellular growth scems to press on fibers and sclereides oí the sclerenchimatic capsule breaking its continuity. The root formation thus seems to be independent of the presence of the sclerenchimatic capsule. The origin of radical primordium appears to be related with groups of organized cells mainly situated near cambium and phloematic parenhchimae.
