Ambrona y Torralba. Actividad Humana y procesos naturales.

Abstract

Las investigaciones desarrolladas en los años sesenta y ochenta en los yacimientos sorianos de Ambrona y Torralba asignaron al hombre un papel capital en la formación de estos yacimientos. El proyecto desarrollado a partir de 1990 tiene como objetivo definir el marco natural en que se inscribe la actividad humana y delimitar su alcance. Junto a la descripción general de los trabajos efectuados (1990-1996), presentamos algunos resultados iniciales relativos a la geología y fauna de ambos yacimientos y a la industria lítica observada en la Unidad inferior de Ambrona en las últimas campañas de excavación.
