Corrosión del cobre en componentes electrónicos y conectores eléctricos

Abstract

Se analizan los tipos de corrosión más frecuentes en la industria electrónica y en conectores eléctricos. Se determina la velocidad de corrosión del cobre en presencia de pequeñas cantidades de vapores de ácidos orgánicos volátiles (fórmico, acético, propiónico y butírico). Se presentan resultados que permiten analizar la agresividad de los fundentes en la soldadura del cobre. Finalmente, se caracteriza la pátina formada sobre cobre en presencia de benzotriazol (BTA), como inhibidor de la corrosión atmosférica del cobre, en ambiente contaminado con vapores de ácido acético. En general, un circuito impreso se define como un componente electrónico pasivo que sirve para la interconexión y soporte de los demás componentes electrónicos de un sistema. La industria electrónica abarca el diseño, desarrollo, fabricación, montaje y aplicación de los equipos, sistemas y componentes electrónicos. Los componentes electrónicos pueden fallar por diversos motivos, como son una inadecuada exposición a vibraciones, choques electrostáticos, interferencias electromagnéticas, etc., y, en particular, por la acción agresiva del medio ambiente, principalmente, temperatura, humedad y contaminación.
