Producción de pastos semiáridos: Variaciones interanuales

Abstract

[EN]Annual controls were made over a period of seven years (1986/93) on the net aerial biomass yield in communities of seminatural grasslands. The dry matter in each botanic component (grasses, legumes and other families) in the pasture land as a whole was also taken into account. The study also comprises the effect of topographical position on the aforementioned parameters, annual measurements having been taken in the extreme areas of the slopes (highest and lowest) in representative grasslands in the “dehesas” of the province of Salamanca. The average total yield (taking into account years and areas) was 133 g/m2 dry matter in the upper zones. On the lower sites it was more than double (293 g/m2). On the low slopes there is a great predominance of grasses, whereas the other families predominate in the eroded areas (high zones).
