Abstract

Cuando apareció el índice H fue recibido con interés, pero también con bastante escepticismo, por buena parte de los científicos; no tenían muy claro si, efectivamente, esta nueva manera de evaluar su trabajo era más objetiva que el simple recuento de citas, puesto que el nuevo índice nacía con la pretensión de valorar tanto la cantidad como la calidad de la producción científica.
