Caracterización del pigmento de Eurotium echinulatum Delacr. III. Métodos degradativos

Abstract

[EN]: The chemical structure of Eurotrium echinulatum Delacr., pigment has been studied by degradative methods. Acid hydrolysis releases between 84-95 % of total nitrogen from the molecule as amblO acids. According to the number of remaining N-phenyl linkages, the amino acids must be found as polypeptides of proteins. The Na-amalgam releases between 48-59 % of ether soluble substances, of which 19-32% correspond to phenolic compounds. In the extracts, phenols, anthraquinones and anthracene derivatives can be found and all these, except the latter, can be isolated from culture media. The Na-dithionite reduction releases, almost exclusively, anthraquinones. Some structural aspects of the pigment, taking in account the degradative data, are discussed.
