Abstract

[EN]A study was carried out on the use of fertilizers with different formulas in four test plots in the acid-soil zone of the province of Salamanca. Of these fertilizers those containing phosphate were of different solubility. The results obtained for this kind of soil showed only a slight response to the fertilizers as a consequence of their late application and the absence of rainfall until well into Spring. No large differences were therefore noticeable at dose level nor between the different treatments. The treatments which elicited the greatest respose were those which in the presence of all the other fertilizing elements contained phosphorus in the most soluble form: However, on the plots receiving the greatest amount of rainfall, the response to treatment with phosphorus at low solubility was as satisfactory as the others. The proportion of legumes, in the mixture of plant biomass, increased with the application of phosphorus.
