Almerarhynchia n. gen. virgiliana n. sp. del Maastrichtiense de Frigols, Prepirineo catalán

[EN] A new maastrichtian rhynchonellid from Figds (Sheet 293, Berga, Barcelona prov., Spain) is described. It shows symmetric and biconvexes valves whith a large foramen and variabi ly number of ribs (18-26). The environment in which A. virgiliana n. sp. lived, is envisaged as a shallow preserved shdf sea floor, non subject to strong streamls action.

[ES] Se describe un nuevo rinconélido maastrichtiense de Figols (Hoja 293, Berga, prov. de Barcelona). Tiene las valvas simétricas y biconvexas, con un gran foramen y un variable número de costillas (18-26). El medio en que vivió A. virgiliana n. sp. se considera un ambiente resguardado de la (plataforma continenial somera sin fuertes corrientes.
