Conmemoraciones, proclamaciones y otros festejos como propaganda política en la crisis del Antiguo Régimen: La ocupación napoleónica en Málaga

Abstract

La invasión napoleónica supuso grandes cambios en España. El principal de todos fue la instauración de una nueva dinastía, aunque se mantuvieron las tradiciones como las ligadas a las proclamaciones reales. En el presente trabajo pretendemos analizar las fiestas y celebraciones instauradas por el régimen josefino, como medio de propaganda en una ciudad ocupada como Málaga, utilizando, fundamentalmente, las fuentes Capitulares. La celebración del santo del Rey José, el cumpleaños del Emperador Napoleón o el nacimiento del heredero de este último, el Rey de Roma, suponen grandes cargas para el Municipio; si bien, al mismo tiempo, dan una idea de su alcance propagandístico entre el pueblo malagueño.
