[EN] The Lower Cretaceous of the Catalanides and NW Maestrazgo is very thick in some areas (3100 to 800 m or more), while in edjacent areas it is very reduced (less than 15 m) or lima exisbent. Intermediate stages od development oif rhese scquences can be recogiiizcd. The localization oif these different types of sequences alrpcars to be controlled by the Cata~lanides fracture syctems. Specifically, here is stated the paleogeographic problem of the cotiiinunicatioti between $he Garraf-Mantmtell and Vandellós zoties, presenting two working hypothesis.
