Abstract

En 1656, Felipe IV nombró como Virrey de Cerdeña al III Marqués de Castel Rodrigo, Francisco de Moura Corte Real. Su predecesor, el Conde de Lemos, había tenido que atender graves problemas económicos y convocar un Parlamento que resultó enormemente conflictivo, destapando los primeros enfrentamientos políticos en el Reino insular. Así pues, Felipe IV redactó una extensa y detallada Instrucción, que será analizada en el presente estudio en busca de alguna directriz marcada desde la Corte madrileña que demuestre la reacción del Rey a los conflictos políticos surgidos durante el virreinato del Conde de Lemos.
