Abstract

Este trabajo analiza el patrimonio rústico de las familias que integraban la oligarquía gijonesa en el siglo XVIII. A lo largo de la Edad Moderna nuestro grupo de estudio se sirvió de las crisis y de la descapitalización y miseria del campesinado para hacerse con sus propiedades, acrecentando de este modo su patrimonio rústico, pilar de su economía.
