Abstract

[EN] The Adrienne method combines the MLS method with the signal subtraction technique. The MLS method affords the impulse response of the system. The subtraction technique allows to separate optimally the direct and sample-reflected signals. Maximum separation between the sample-reflected and the nearest events in the reflection trace is required in order the lowest reliable frequency to be minimum. Therefore, the microphone should be as close as possible to the sample whilst the loudspeaker should be as far as possible to the sample. As a consequence, the direct and sample-reflected events in the trace are close each other.

This work deals with the optimization of the loudspeaker-microphone setup, given the sample height, in order to get the best lowest reliable frequency.
