El paisaje rural en los croquis del Diccionario Geográfico de Tomás López: Una reinterpretación del espacio político a la luz de la mirada autóctona

Abstract

Si bien los estudios sobre paisajes históricos –su reconstrucción y puesta en valor–, constituyen un campo de estudio consolidado entre los historiadores preocupados por el paisaje, las investigaciones sobre su percepción así como sobre la vida cotidiana a la luz de la espacialidad, aún se encuentran en un punto muy incipiente de su andadura. De ahí el interés de la comunicación que proponemos en esta reunión científica. Con ella pretendemos contribuir a la construcción de una línea de investigación histórica que consideramos fundamental para la comprensión más integral de las comunidades locales en la Edad Moderna. Atender a sus percepciones espaciales, comprobar la influencia que la práctica cotidiana del espacio y la mirada autóctona ejercen en sus representaciones mentales y en la asignación de significados espaciales, constituye un campo de acción muy sugerente no sólo para los historiadores del paisaje sino para los historiadores de la cultura en general.
