Abstract

[EN] Due to the increasing interest concerning the acoustical confort in building, the acoustic characterization is required for construction materials, as well as the searching for constructive solutions which will provide satisfying results. The paper presents the results and conclusions about an experimental work, developed throughout 2002/03 by Expanded Polyestyrene National Association (ANAPE), about different floors lightened with EPS (expanded polystyrene) pieces. This experimental work was carried out by the Laboratory of Materials of Acoustics Institute of the Superior Council of Scientific Investigations and in the Acoustics Area of Laboratory for Quality Control in Buildings of the Basque Country Government, managed by LABEIN.
