A través del análisis del ciclo de Cortes que tuvo lugar en los diferentes territorios de la corona de Aragón a la llegada al trono de Jaime II en 1291, se observan las diversas características de los sistemas políticos vigentes en Aragón, Valencia y Cataluña, basados en la distinta relación de poderes existente entre los tres estamentos y entre los estamentos y el rey.
