The classic model of interpretation of the funeral record in the Iberian world is incomplete and ambiguous in its developement. The reading realized for other prothohistorical areas of the Mediterranean, like the Athenian funeral world during the emergence of the polis, can be very useful to give a more complex and credible vision of the ancient Iberian society.
