Abstract

[ES] Se hace un estudio previo del yacimiento de la pirofilita de Águilas (Provincia de Murcia, SE de España). Pirofilita, cuarzo, micas blancas y caolinita son los constituyentes de estas mineralizaciones filonianas que encajan enfisuras de las filitas del complejo Alpujarride. El origen de la pirofilita está relacionado con un proceso de metamorfismo regional de un material sedimentario rico en aluminio. La principal reacción implicada seria: 1 Caolinita + 2 SiO2 = Pirofilita + H2O Se contempla asimismo como posibilidad alternativa, un proceso de segregacion metamorfica. Se dan datos ópticos, de análisis químico y de difracción de Rayos X.

[EN] A preliminary study on a pyrophillite ocurrente near Aguilas (Murcia province, SE of Spain) is presented. Pirophyllite, quartz, white micas and kaolinite are the constituent minerals of these vein the type mineralisations. The host rocks are phyllites from the Alpujamde complen. The origin of pyrophyllite is related to regional metamorphism of an Al-rich sedimentary material. The nain reaction involved would be: 1 Kaolinite + 2 SiO2 = Pyrophyllite + H2O An alternative segregation process is contemplated.. The optical, chemical analyses and X-ray difraction data are given.
