Abstract

[ES] La finalidad de este trabajo ha sido, en primer lugar, la elaboración del mapa de anomalia de Bouguer de la Depresión del Penedes. Posteriormente se ha realizado una interpretación de este con el fin de determinar 10s principales rasgos estructurales de la zona y estimar el grosor de sedimentos que rellenan la fosa. La principal característica gravimétrica observada es el gradiente regional negativo, de direccion SE-NW, que confirma el aumento de grosor de la corteza en esa dirección. Para eliminar este efecto regional e individualizar la anomalia de la depresión, se ha utilizado la tecnica del ajuste polinomico por mínimos cuadrados. En el mapa de anomalia residual obtenido se pueden observar 10s efectos producidos por la existencia de horsts y graben de dirección ENE-WSW. Se presentan, además, tres, modelos estructurales de la depresibn basados en el ajuste automatico entre 10s valores de anomalia observados y 10s teóricos del modelo gravimetrico inicial.

[EN] The Bouguer gravity anomaly map of the Penedes basin is presented and interpreted. The principal aim of this study is to delineate the structural features related with the principal geological fractures and to estimate the thickness of the sedimentary rocks filling the basin. A SE-NW negative regional gradient is the main characteristic of the map and confirms the earth's crust thickening towards the NW. In order to eliminate this effect the polinomial surface fit technique is used to obtain the short wavelength anomalies wich are due to the structure of the basin itself. The residual anomalies are closely related to the structure and morphology of the basement, Which is characterized by a succesion of horsts and graben following mainly the NW-SE direction. Structural section along certain profiles, deduced through the fit between residual anomalies and calculated from gravity models, are presented.
