[EN] One of the classic questions in a study of Cretaceous sedimentary record of Iberian Range, is the cronostratigraphic datation of thesiliciclastic sediments underlying the Upper Cretaceous carbonates, due to its continental and transitional origin. In the present study we have collected grab samples in two stratigraphic series from Escucha Formation located at Calanda and Castellote Subbasin Depocentres (Maestrazgo Basin). With these samples we have carried out palinological analysis and we have compared them with other analysis of samples from Traiguera Subbasin, where the Age has been determined by palinological analysis and confirmed by content in ammonites. Results show an equivalent content on microflore of studied samples from both series and correlationable with palynological sets of Traiguera, Benassal, Benifassa and Salomó. This fact lead us to date Escucha Formation, in this area from Maestrazgo Basin, as Late Lower to Middle Albian, and contribute to clarify the stratigraphic relations between Escucha, Val de la Piedra and Benassal Limestone Formations.
