Abstract

Conjugados de flavanoles y cisteamina. La presente invención se refiere a nuevos productos que resultan de la conjugación de flavanoles con moléculas que contienen el grupo tiol. Las nuevas moléculas se obtienen a partir de extractos polifenólicos de plantas, los cuales son ricos en procianidinas y prodelfinidinas oligoméricas y poliméricas. De esta manera se generan nuevos productos con propiedades antioxidantes con aplicación como agentes protectores del organismo contra trastornos como el cáncer, enfermedades cardiovasculares y envejecimiento prematuro. La invención se refiere también la obtención de estos nuevos agentes a partir de materia prima residual proveniente de la industria agroalimentaria. Tales materias residuales son mezclas muy complejas, por lo cual se describe un método de aislamiento y purificación sencillo y eficaz, basado en las características físico-químicas de las nuevas moléculas.
