Through the analysis of Barn Owl’s pellets, Tyto alba, the presence of the lesser white-toothed shrew, Crocidura suaveolens, has been detected in several areas in the south of the Iberian Peninsula: in the Guadalquivir river mouth (Doñana), and in Ayamonte and Odiel, salines. In a detailed sample took out in Doñana´s region there was found that this species inhabited just the salines areas and lands that tide influence. Despite new detailed studies, must be done to corroborate this, we suspect the species lives isolated in these marsh areas in the Gulf of Cádiz.
