Abstract

Una de las principales conclusiones de este libro en relación con el periodo al que se refiere este epígrafe y que también es la característica común de los distintos casos analizados en él, es la estrecha vinculación que existió entre la construcción y desarrollo del ferrocarril en los países de Iberoamérica y la especialización de sus economías en la producción de materias primas para la exportación en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX
